Gonzales Bistro

Some of the best food I’ve had anywhere. Duck with sour cherry sauce? Two selections of dry aged blue fin? Where am I??? Having ate at Michelin restaurants all over the world, I believe the quality of the food is top tier and the chef is beyond talented.

First time here, with a group of 7. Great service, nice presentation with each dish and delicious food. We sampled appetizers, entrees and desserts. Very good yellow fin tuna stir fry, perfectly cooked filets, gnocchi meal was flavorful and good, duck entree well prepared and tender and chicken piccata was excellent. Loved the Brie appetizer as well. Recommend an evening here!

Wow! More than unexpected! It was so hard to decide! Very thoughtful menu and the delivery didn’t dissapoint! The service and atmosphere were above bar! We are planning the next visit even before our dessert arrives. The service is outstanding !!!

I've had the opportunity to enjoy chef/owner Parind Vora's food for three decades. This was my first time here and it was absolutely to the level I've come to expect. We had six different offerings and they were all excellent. The wine list is impeccably curated. It is a gem in a historic town in Texas. We will be back often. Cannot recommend it any higher.

I can't even put into words how amazing Gonzales Bistro was. The food was amazing. The service is exceptional. Apps: we had the escargot and the baked brie. The brie was amazing, but the escargot was outstanding. For the main course, I had the Cajun Wagyu top sirloin and my wife had grilled European sea bass (Branzino). Both meals were sensational. Every bite was amazing. This is the first time in many, many years, that I have not sent a steak back to the kitchen. We were celebrating our anniversary and just to make it even more special, we were presented with a signed card from the staff. I highly recommend Gonzales Bistro, it is well worth the drive.

My wife brought me here for my birthday dinner to meet up with a family member that we haven’t seen in a long time. Everything was awesome. The staff the food comfortable and I love how they have the Hollywood stars old school on the walls. Also has Bruce Willis an even in a vent like he’s on diehard the best Christmas movie ever. The best part of the night was when the staff all signed a birthday card for me. Enjoy the pictures.

It was to see the selection of drinks that really elevated the whole dining experience. Having dined at several Gordon Ramsay restaurants, I can confidently say that Gonzales Bistro holds its own. It's the perfect place to enjoy a special meal whether it’s for date night, a birthday, or an anniversary. The atmosphere is intimate and the meals are elevated, making it ideal for those special occasions. But even if you're just looking for a night out with great food and drinks, this place still delivers. If you’ve never had a chef-prepared meal, this is definitely the place to experience it.
